Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and who ever sees it.
The honest answer: not much, and almost nobody.

The short version: We collect what we need to run your account and your content — nothing more. We never sell your information, and you can ask to see or delete it anytime.

Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and who ever sees it. The honest answer: not much, and almost nobody.

The short version: We collect what we need to run your account and your content — nothing more. We never sell your information, and you can ask to see or delete it anytime.

1. Who We Are

Skill Data Agency ("Skill Data," "we," "us") provides content and marketing services to home service businesses in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information across our website, booking pages, and services, in line with Canada's PIPEDA.

2. What We Collect

You give us: your name, business name, email, phone number, and what you tell us when you book a call or fill in a form; billing details when you subscribe (processed by our payment provider — we never see full card numbers); and footage, photos, and account access you provide as a client.

Collected automatically: basic website analytics — pages visited, device type, and approximate location — via cookies. Nothing that identifies you personally.

3. Why We Collect It

To run your account and deliver the service you're paying for; to schedule calls and filming days; to bill you; to report on your content's performance; to answer your messages; and to improve the website. We don't build advertising profiles and we don't sell or rent personal information to anyone, ever.

4. Who Sees It

Only the service providers we need to operate: our payment processor, scheduling and CRM platform, email provider, and website analytics. Each receives only what it needs to do its job and is bound by its own privacy obligations. Some providers store data outside Canada (typically in the United States); by using our services you consent to that transfer. We disclose information beyond this only if the law requires it.

5. Your Content and Likeness

As a client, footage of you and your team is the product — we publish it to your channels on your behalf, as agreed at onboarding. We may feature your published work in our own portfolio and marketing unless you ask us in writing not to. We never publish unapproved footage.

6. Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies for analytics and to remember form progress. You can block cookies in your browser; the site still works, though forms may forget where you were.

7. How Long We Keep It

Account and billing records are kept for 7 years, as Canadian tax law requires. Raw footage is kept for 12 months after your subscription ends. Call-booking details for people who never become clients are deleted within 12 months. Analytics data is retained in aggregate only.

8. Security

Access to client data is limited to the people working on your account, protected by unique logins and two-factor authentication. Payment details are handled entirely by our payment processor. If a breach ever affects your information, we'll notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as PIPEDA requires.

9. Your Rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to the legal retention periods above). You can also withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time — every one has an unsubscribe link. Requests go to the address below and are answered within 30 days.

10. Changes and Contact

If this policy changes materially, we'll email active clients before the change takes effect. Questions, requests, or complaints go to [email protected]. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
